This must be the oddest role in Ruth Wilson's career because the character she plays is her own grandmother.
We are in 1963 and Alison Wilson (Ruth Wilson) returns home to her husband Alexander (Iain Glen), shortly before his sudden death.
Already grieved and anxious to comfort her two teenage sons (Gordon and Nigel, played by Calam Lynch and Otto Farrant), Alison is even more stunned when a Gladys Wilson (Elizabeth Rider) arrives at the door, claiming to be the "real Alec. wife.
Alison takes a journey to find out who Alexander Wilson really was, dissecting their 1940s novel and her husband's mysterious secret service career.

Ar Son na Poblachta Cogadh na Saoirse / The War of Independence brings new ideas, new narratives of real people that shed light and an understanding of Ireland's past.
This three-part race will explore the issues and forces at play as the war unfolds in Ireland. The first day is Bloody Sunday, November 21, 1920, at Croke Park.
Farang: Dead Man Running, 23:05, channel 4
This Swedish thriller tells the story of a man named Rickard, who fled Sweden and the former criminal badociates against whom he testified, thus giving up his name, life and family to start over in Thailand.
Life is hard and dirty, but at least she will not kill him. But when his 15-year-old daughter Thyra comes looking for him, Rickard's self-imposed exile in this rugged paradise is soon threatened.
After the premiere of episode 1 on Channel 4, the full series will be immediately available, to view or download for free, on All 4.
