Surface Andromeda exists and the confirmation of its existence comes directly from Microsoft. Redmond's home has been working on this mysterious device for at least two years, and several patents have emerged over the years to understand how it would have been structured. Now, The Verge has managed to get its hands on an internal memo from the software giant that not only confirms the existence of this product, but also states that it will also be "pocketable".
The memo, written by Panos Pay in person, highlights how Surface Andromeda will create a category of "new and disruptive" devices that will even influence the overall roadmap of the Surface product line and make the border between a PC and a mobile device less clear. In the note, it is clearly emphasized how the Andromeda surface will have a new form factor innovative from a hardware and software point of view and will be able to offer a truly versatile and personal user experience. Unfortunately, the memo does not add a lot of other details and so this camera is still shrouded in mystery. However, according to The Verge, all the prototypes developed so far would be very similar to the concepts that emerged over the months.
The Andromeda Surface, therefore, should have a dual touch screen and a pen with which you can interact on the screens. It will surely be a product dedicated to the company and should also be equipped with the modular variant of Windows 10.
It is not known, moreover, whether the Surface Andromeda will have an Intel processor or an ARM solution. Microsoft also sees Andromeda as a response to its failures with Windows Phone devices. However, the source also reveals that Microsoft could unplug this project at any time if it did not consider it ripe for its start.
