Xiaomi lately, with the Mi Mix 2S launched in the spring, began to implement the technology for wireless charging of the battery. Simply place the smartphone on a special basis to charge the battery, without connecting any cable as required by the traditional procedure.
The first wireless charger launched by Xiaomi leaves something to be desired because it supports a charge of 7.5W only. Most of the latest generation devices can charge the battery faster than 10W, there are exceptions, with products that support 15W.
The Chinese company has in stock a new wireless charger compliant with the Qi standard, which has already received certification by the WPC consortium. It is likely that the new Xiaomi accessory will reach 10W and not 15W when charging, we will know more in the coming weeks from its announcement, perhaps with the top of the range Xiaomi Mi Mix 3.
