The last frontier of information technology, at least for the mobile market, is represented by wearable devices. These are special devices that, unlike much more conventional smartphones, can be worn by the user. The most striking example of these devices is represented by the smartwatch of small clocks with a complete system controlled by an ad hoc operating system.

Among the smartwatch makers, Samsung ] is one of the leading companies most concentrated in this sector. For about 4/5 years, the company presents new products with the most diverse technical and aesthetic characteristics (which, for this reason, makes the smartwatch suitable for different types of people). It seems that with the next device, the Korean manufacturer is ready to complete a small internal revolution by changing the name of its range of smart watches.

For the first time, Samsung's new smartwatch could not adopt the nomenclature Gear but the much more conventional galaxy . This is an accurate marketing choice aimed in all probability to instill less confusion in the user. All Samsung mobile products, from now on, can be identified with the words Galaxy, without creating any particular ambiguity .

For the rest, the only characteristics that have emerged are those indicated in the documentation of Federal Commission of Communication (the so-called FCC). The future Samsung Galaxy Watch should incorporate a diagonal screen of 1.19 inches (to be precise, we are talking about 30.2 mm). This diagonal would be only slightly lower than the current solutions offered by Samsung (Gear S3 Clbadic and Frontier).

It is very likely, moreover, that the device is presented in more variants : one with the LTE module and one without. The LTE module, if present, can make the Galaxy Watch completely standalone without the need of a smartphone capable of handling it properly (in most cases, call notifications and SMS must first be received). from the smartphone and only after they will be sent to the smartwatch).
