Confirmed Intel Core 9th Generation Processors

[ad_1]

We still do not know if the Intel Lake 8-bit CPU expected in the next few months (with the Z390 platform) will be called Core i9-9900K as it has been rumored in recent days, but we know that Intel will use the "Core of ninth generation" brand for its next CPU . To say this is not an indiscretion but the same Intel, in a document in which he explains to customers the microcode firmware updates against Spectrum and Meltdown.

In this document are references to six processors with integrated GT2 graphics called Core i5-9600K, 9600, 9500 and 9400 . The same document also refers to the quad-core with Core i3-9000 and 9100 embedded graphics . For the moment, there is no indication on the Core i7 or even on the Core i9, so it is not clear if the company will use the brands or only one of them.

Intel may for example, use the Core i7 name for 8-core / 16-threaded processors and 8-core / 8-threads, adding 6-core processors / 12 threads in the Core i5 range, while today we have 6-core solutions without Hyper-Threading.

Or Intel could propagate 8-core processors between Core i9 and i7 series, allowing or not Hyper-Threading depending on category, 6-core CPU mix and 12 threads and 8-Core CPU in the Core i7 Series

We just have to wait, every badumption (even the weirdest of ours) is valid at this point. What is certain is that we now know for sure that ninth-generation cores will still be Coffee Lake, so still 14-nanometer processors. It's not that we were expecting something different, given the problems with 10 nanometers, but now the 14-nanometer and ninth-generation CPU combination is official.
