Intel announced the new range of Intel Xeon E workstation microprocessors which are flanked by the company's offer to Xeon Scalable and Xeon W.
Xeon E were born for entry-level workstations the W Xeon for the mainstream that needs more power and of course the scalable Xeon for those who need CPUs with lots of hearts and threads to handle the heaviest loads.

By going to see the models in detail, we find the Xeon E-2186G in top of the offer, with 6 cores / 12 wires frequencies between 3.8 and 4.7 GHz, integrated graphics Intel UHD Graphics P630 and a price of $ 450. The processor is compatible with the LGA 1151 socket, but that does not mean that it will be usable on mainstream motherboards, but will require solutions with PCH C246

Some models offer 4 cores and 8 wires, or just 4 cores. There are also templates with built-in graphics disabled. The common elements are the total 40 PCIe 3.0 lines between the processor and the chipset and the two DDR4-2666 memory channels. Prices start from $ 193 for the Xeon E-2124 to $ 450 for the E-2186G .
