iPhone XR, demand below expectations – Hi-Tech

(ANSA) – ROME, NOVEMBER 6 – Apple, as well as some badysts,
could have overestimated the demand for the iPhone XR, the most
new smartphones launched by the
Cupertino. A confirmation of the economic paper
Japanese Nikkei, according to which Apple would have paraded
back on the plan to increase the production of the device.

According to the newspaper, the Chinese company Foxconn would use
Only 45 of the 60 production lines configured for iPhone XR,
100,000 tiny iPhone phones a day compared to how much
could. Another Apple manufacturer, the Taiwan Pegatron,
would have suspended the increase in production pending
indications of the California colossus.

However, the slightest demand for the iPhone XR would not be equivalent to
a decline in overall demand for the iPhone. Always second
Nikkei, Apple allegedly asked the two Asian companies to
increase the production of the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus – smartphone
launched in 2017 and still in the catalog – from 20 to 25 million
units.

The iPhone 8 has a catalog price up to 20% lower
compared to that of the iPhone XR, which is however the most
smartphones launched by Apple this year.

The iPhone Xs and Xs Max have a card higher than the
a thousand euros. (ANSA).
