The brand that in the FCA group will be part of the digital turnaround ambbadador, in addition to being interested in a strategic expansion of the offer will Maserati. The Trident brand, indeed, has planned to support a smaller SUV of the current Levante which will also be proposed in hybrid version. Moreover, in the coming years, the two cars inherited from the current Ghibli and Quattroporte will be offered in both cases, also offered in a hybrid version. But the most tasty novelty of the 2019-2022 program plan for Maserati is undoubtedly the Alfieri derived concept car that will replace the current Gran Turismo and Gran Cabrio and will be offered specifically in the Coup and Cabrio variants.

In total, in the programs of the next five years for the brand Maserati two new models arrive and 2 "reinterpretations" of current models also hybrid for a total of 6 models in the range with an estimated production at the end of 2022 of 100,000 cars. The declared objective is to put in the honor Porsche and Tesla, thanks in particular to a car, successor of Alfieri, a sports car announced in 2014 by a concept car which will be proposed with conventional engines as well as Hybrid and electric units in this case four-wheel drive.

The Alfieri will also be the first of the Maserati Blu models that in the logic of the brand should indicate Trident cars with a battery under the hood. According to the first details, the Alfieri Elettrico should have a weight of 175 kg higher than the variants with a combustion engine, but can count on four-wheel drive and a much higher performance: it is estimated, in fact, a 0-100 km / h "burned" in just 2 seconds and at a top speed of more than 300 km / h. The car that should be equipped with active aerodynamics, will be based on a modular aluminum platform that will also be used for the new generations of SUV Levante and the lighthouse: for these two novelties, there will be an electric version only with a system of 800 volts and three electric motors. According to the intentions of the Group to provide the engines that will enter the hood of all Maserati in the coming years will be Ferrari. Gi Ferrari, the distinct brand, but still at home pending its program plan that is expected to be announced in the month of September, but that in recent months has been the subject of several advances designed to represent the basis of work on which I will work in Maranello. The first of what even Ferrari will be interesting soon by the process of electrification intended to change the "skin" of the FCA Group brands. It starts with the first hybrid version, which should arrive at the end of next year. Another chapter to monitor the Ferrari SUV, given that in the meantime, the same Marchionne explained that he had changed his mind based on US sales data where 70% registrations are in the factory permanent from the SUV or alternatively upwards. Hence the choice for Ferrari not a real SUV, but a "sport utility" that will have the DNA of all Ferrari, as well as a sense of driving up to the height but under the hood a hybrid engine. Once fully operational, it is expected that sales of future SUVs will account for 10% of Ferrari's total registrations worldwide. After the SUV for Ferrari announced a purely electric model, but for the moment it is a time horizon still far away.

The arrival of the Cavallino SUV will not affect too much the "mission" that the Red is still given, that of creating GTs with unique performance in the market, even with some concessions to the new trend. This is why in the future of Ferrari there is also room for a model that will install under the Portofino.

For the future, the CEO of the Italian brand Sergio Marchionne imagines that the Ferrari are even more manageable than the current ones, but also much more full of technology and in any case more accessible today in terms guidance. In addition, regarding the automation of driving, the roads will have a different development compared to the market forecast. On a 488 Pista, indeed, it makes no sense to mortgage an autonomous driving, but on more professional models than GTC4 Lusso an autonomous driving, maybe level 3 might find room in Ferrari plans for the next few years.
