It's been a century since we started to know OnePlus devices, but it seems like it was like yesterday. Here we are, after four years, the sixth generation of smartphones. We present in this review OnePlus 6: an excellent device without a doubt, but has lost the effect of surprise that society has accustomed us. Much of the original charm of the first terminals was actually lost to match the competition. There is a notch, a 19: 9 display and an impressive speed: but all that glitters is not gold.

Description and photographic section

By badyzing the design of OnePlus 6, we realize that the trend towards a clbadical and minimal form already followed by the 5 and 5T series is fully confirmed. The back was made of glbad this time, the fingerprint reader has been reduced and the grip has improved significantly. The dual camera is now placed vertically and the protuberance that characterized its instability on flat surfaces has been reduced

Fortunately the 3.5mm audio jack remains present but, again, IP certification against water and / or dust is missing. On the front there is a 6.28 " AMOLED Optical Display with FullHD + resolution and, as mentioned, an aspect ratio in 19: 9. The notch on the panel can The colors returned by this screen are beautiful and well calibrated, while the brightness allows use even when they are exposed to direct light.

Also on this OnePlus 6 the Chinese company has a lot of focus on the camera but, in essence, it stands a notch below the best camera phone on the market today. main is 16MP with f / 1.7 focal aperture and optical stabilization, while the second is 20MP is mainly used to recognize different depths of field and to create excellent bokeh effects.

The front sensor is a Sony IMX371 from 16MP and f / 2.0 aperture. The quality of the shots from the entire industry is good, thanks to the latest software update, but not excellent. In good lighting conditions, the photos are well balanced, rich in details: in short, a high level rendering. At night, however, the sound in the shots is weak but it is still present.

Material Specifications

OnePlus has always been used to a high-level hardware and performance division. Even this OnePlus 6 is not far behind, as it mounts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor accompanied by 8GB of RAM for a truly unique user experience. Everything works fine, indeed this terminal is flying. Daily use is free from any uncertainty, as well as from the games side: OnePlus is a point of reference for players . In this regard, the Chinese company also added a new game mode. Speaking of audio, we note only that the speaker is placed at the bottom where the user puts his hand to hold the phone in hand, so it's a somewhat unfortunate choice.

With so much power is needed that the software side is well optimized and, in fact, on board we find OxygenOS based on Android 8.1 Oreo . We know the user interface of this custom system, but it has been further improved by introducing some interesting gestures and settings.

Finally, the battery 3.300mAh is still available. Of course, it does not work miracles, but it still manages to get the night out with about 5 hours of screen time. Where it does not meet your needs, there is always the burden of fast loading costs

Conclusions

The prices of OnePlus 6 have certainly increased, making this terminal the only economical alternative for those who evolve towards flagship clbad devices. Of course, there is no certification against water and dust and the speaker is placed where it should not. It is however a monster of power. If we had the previous OnePlus 5T in our possession, we would not buy it
