Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, first official image

A few weeks ago, rumors circulated about the new tablet that Samsung is expected to announce at IFA 2018 in Berlin. The Android Headlines website has now released the first official images of the Galaxy Tab S4 that reveal different details about the design, confirming the badumptions about the lack of fingerprint reader.

Looking at the tablet, you immediately notice a larger viewing area. The Super AMOLED screen should have a diagonal of 10.5 inches and an aspect ratio of 16:10. Probably a Quad HD resolution (2560 × 1600 pixels). The current Galaxy Tab S3 has a 9.7-inch screen with a resolution of 2048 × 1536 pixels and an aspect ratio of 4: 3. The new model also has thinner frames. The Samsung logo is missing from the top, while the bottom one does not have capacitive buttons, nor the Home button with the fingerprint reader.

The biometric sensor has not been moved to the back, so there are two badumptions: fingerprint reader on the screen or lateral. The iris scanner as the only authentication system can not be ruled out. The position of the rear camera remained unchanged, while the Samsung logo was moved next to the words "Tuned by AKG", an obvious reference to the stereo speakers.

Hardware equipment should include an 835 core octa core Snapdragon processor, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage, 13 megapixel rear camera, 8 megapixel front camera and 7,300 mAh battery. The operating system will certainly be Android 8.1 Oreo with the Samsung Experience interface. In addition to traditional accessories (S Pen and Cover Keyboard), the dock DeX is designed to connect the tablet to the monitor, keyboard and mouse.
