A new Sony Xperia smartphone with the Snapdragon 855 and 8GB of RAM on board. The device in question went through the famous GeekBench reference platform with code H8526, because of the Z series of the Japanese company, which could therefore be among the first to implement the Qualcomm processor that should recover the Current legacy Snapdragon 845

In tests conducted via GeekBench, this H8526 reached 3,033 points in single-core and an even larger score of 10,992 in multi-core. Results that seem consistent with a hypothetical Snapdragon 855 in this case supported by up to 8GB of RAM (this would be the first Sony smartphone with this amount of RAM). The software part seems to have been entrusted to Android P.

It should be remembered however that the Snapdragon 855 has not yet been introduced by Qualcomm. We are talking about a SoC with a production process at 7nm and the new Snapdragon X50 LTE modem with 5G connectivity. Rumors around this processor began in February 2018, even before the Snapdragon 845 was implemented in a commercial device.
