A German engineering student named Philip Frenzel might have solution to save all smartphones and save time and money. Frenzel created the mobile airbag a case that detects the free fall of the phone and releases metal spikes to protect it from damage.
Student at the Aalen in Germany, Frenzel won an award from the German Society of Mechatronics with the mobile airbag. The student plans to launch the device on Kickstarter next month with Peter Mayer, another university student. If this product, or a similar product, with an improved design, has actually arrived on the market, there is no doubt that it could help save hundreds of dollars. Dollars that would eventually be spent on phone repairs or new devices. The era of cracked screens can end sooner than we think thanks to this fantastic new invention.
