WhatsApp provides us with great complementary tools to the standard use of the platform : instant messenger. The application over the years evolved to become a service altogether .
Among the tools provided in the stable version of the program, we also find the backup data . This function is very useful when it is a question of switching from one smartphone to another or when one simply wants to restore our device.
WhatsApp and Data Backup Anomaly
In the last few hours, however, some users have pointed to a serious anomaly related to data backup. According to reports, on WhatsApp there is a very bug [boring] that consumes huge amounts of data traffic.
By default, under normal conditions, WhatsApp starts a backup of the data each time it is opened. Synchronization allows us to capture all files and messages received when closing the application. It is therefore a continuous update
The buggy versions of WhatsApp, however, implement at each opening of the chat a full backup of the files. In this way, always needing to capture the total space of the application, it consumes GB unnecessarily on GB and risk to miss its own promotion.
To avoid being affected by this bug (present on iOS and Android devices ), we recommend enabling the backup option only under the Wi-Fi coverage.
