Jeff Bezos will reveal today (9 May) information on the last frontier.
The richest man in the world will address the media at 4 pm. EDT (21:00 GMT) in Washington, D.C., about his space flight company, Blue origin. During the event, "we will inform you of our progress and share our vision of going into space for the benefit of the Earth", said representatives of Blue Origin in a media advisory .
They did not provide more details. But there are reasons to think that the subject could be lunar exploration. On April 26, Blue Origin tweeted a photo of the Endurance ship of the Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton, as well as the figures "5.9.19" – a reference to today's date.

Shackleton's name is adorned with a crater at the south pole of the moon, supposed to house a lot of ice on its permanently shaded ground. Indeed, the Shackleton Crater The area is often considered a good place for a lunar outpost.

Blue Origin is also working on a rocket called New Armstrong, about which we know very little. But the names that society chooses for its vehicles tend to reveal their destinations. For example, Blue Origin calls its suborbital space flight system New Shepard, after NASA astronaut Alan Shepard, the first American to reach the suborbital space. The orbital rocket of the company is New Glenn, which honors John Glenn, the first American to orbit the Earth.
And New Armstrong is obviously named Neil Armstrong, the first person to walk on the moon.
