Johns Hopkins study found no COVID deaths in healthy children

A team of Johns Hopkins researchers recently reported by studying a group of about 48,000 children, they found zero COVID deaths in healthy children, but the Centers for Disease Control doesn’t care.

Dr Marty Makary is a medical expert and professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Bloomberg School of Public Health, and Carey Business School. His research team “worked with the nonprofit FAIR Health to analyze around 48,000 children under the age of 18 diagnosed with Covid in health insurance data from April to August 2020”.

After studying comprehensive data on thousands of children, the team “found a death rate of zero in children without a pre-existing medical condition such as leukemia.” Rather than acknowledging this scientific reality, Makary says that the CDC continues to use “fragile evidence” to force the COVID vaccine on children.

As Makary noted in the Wall Street Journal on Monday, the implications of his team’s research are huge. “[If our research] holds, this has important implications for healthy children and whether they need two doses of the vaccine, ”says Makary. After all, “The National Education Association debated whether to urge schools to require vaccination before returning to school in person. How can they or anyone debate the issue without the right data? “

Makary’s question is obvious, but no less timely. Makary says the number of deaths swollen by COVID continues to be corrected and “revised downwards”.

But rather than combat institutional mistrust with scientific data and discussions, Makary says the CDC is avoiding transparency and rigorous investigation. He criticized the agency on Monday, saying it “overcounts hospitalizations and deaths from Covid and will not consider whether one hit is enough.” According to Makary, this problem is systemic.

Makary says that “a considerable number of government and private policies” regarding childhood immunization depend on a questionable data point. The CDC says 335 children under the age of 18 have died with a diagnosis of COVID on their record. However, Makary reports that “the CDC, which has 21,000 employees, has not researched every death to find out if Covid caused it or if it was a pre-existing medical problem.”

“Without these data, the CDC’s advisory committee on immunization practices decided in May that the benefits of two-dose immunization outweigh the risks for all children 12 to 15 years old,” notes Makary. “I have written hundreds of peer-reviewed medical studies, and I can’t think of any journal editor who would accept the claim that 335 deaths are due to a virus with no data to indicate whether the virus was accidental or causal, and without an analysis of relevant risk factors such as obesity.

According to Makary, the CDC defies the standards of medical research, propagating a “weak” claim without sufficient research or transparency. And this is not an isolated incident. Makary illustrates that this is part of a model.

CDC director Rochelle Walensky claims 200 child hospitalizations and one death can be prevented in four months if one million adolescents are vaccinated. Makary is not convinced. He says that, “[T]The agency’s Covid adolescent hospitalization report, like its death toll, does not distinguish on website whether a child is hospitalized for Covid or with Covid. ”

This is a problem, because there is an obvious difference between these categories of patients. Hospitals often test patients for COVID on a routine basis, even if there is no suggestion that they are infected with the virus. But according to Walensky’s metrics, Makary says that “an asymptomatic child who tests positive after being injured in a bicycle accident would be counted as a ‘Covid hospitalization”.

Makary says the unreliable CDC reporting doesn’t end there. He adds that “the CDC may also be under[-]entering data on vaccine complications. The CDC bases its analysis of the risks and benefits of immunizing all children on the complication rates from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (Vaers) database. However, Makary argues that this database is made up of self-reported raw data that “is unverified and likely underreports adverse events.”

All of this is just the tip of the iceberg of gaps in the CDC’s data and analysis, the researcher says. To this day, Makary says, the CDC still does not document new daily hospitalizations for the COVID disease. Instead, it reports the inflated hospitalization rate for any patient who tests positive for the virus. And as the CDC pushes the vaccine on Americans, Makary says the agency seems completely disinterested in finding natural immunity levels.

Rather than seeking transparency, the CDC and other large entities avoid scientific investigation and silence those who dare to ask inconvenient questions. “Not only has the CDC refused to consider the possibility of a single-dose regimen for minors; Harvard epidemiologist Martin Kulldorff told me he was kicked out of the Covid Vaccine Safety Advisory Committee working group after expressing a dissenting opinion, ”Makary notes.

The CDC and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration that approve the vaccines employ 39,000 people, but more than a year of crucial scientific data is still missing to crush the COVID blockades, Makary notes. Rather than relying on “unverified data,” says Makary, “the CDC or the Food and Drug Administration should quickly assign doctors to research each of the thousands of vaccine complications reported to Vaers.” According to Makary’s findings, the agency should also reassess its claims regarding child mortality and hospitalization.

The CDC is not the only entity whose doctrines are implicated by these findings. While Makary’s team has recorded no deaths from COVID for healthy children, children across the country continue to suffer from draconian mask warrants and other restrictions imposed on the basis of the belief that COVID is very risky for children.

Inspired by talking points from Democrats, states like Connecticut, New Mexico, Hawaii, Virginia, New York and Washington require all K-12 students to wear masks, regardless of their immunization status. Meanwhile, CNN, NBC News, CBS News and others continue to repeat the story that children should “hide” or else.
