Chief Meteorologist Ross Janssen says that rains and stronger storms will pbad through the state as night approaches. Although it is not expected extreme weather, some localized floods are possible, especially in areas that may have had heavy rains in recent times.
Temperatures will begin in the '60s and' 70s and once the rain started in the early afternoon, temperatures will rise to near 90. The hottest temperatures will be in the early sixties. West of Kansas where some areas will reach the mid-90s.
Thursday always seems to be the hottest day of the week when high temperatures will be close to 100. Heat indices will be above 105 in many central and eastern Kansas.
Temperatures will begin to drop this weekend with expected dry weather in most of the state.
