Ugandan MP Robert Kyagulanyi, aka Bobi Wine, appears to have once again had problems with the authorities.
Saturday night, the musician became a politician, via his Twitter account, said that the police in Jinja District, about 70 km from Kampala, had raided a hotel where he was waiting with his team a concert.
the Singa Hitmaker also claimed that the police harbaded and forcibly evicted part of his team from the establishment.
BEATEN
Bobi Wine, who was scheduled to present a musical show in Jinja on Saturday night, said the police had ordered his team out of the city and escorted him to Lugazi.
"They beat some of them, then dragged them into police pickups and took them to unknown destinations without any crime," he said.
"In the meantime, I am in Jinja City. The police are looking for me everywhere. They even blocked roads in search of me. I will try not to take advantage of it, "he added.
TREASON CHARGES
The show, dubbed "Street Jam Mash Up, 5 years of the Queens Palace", was announced for the first time in August 2018.
It is unclear why the police prevented it from happening.
Bobi Wine has been several times found on the wrong side of the law this year.
He is currently being sued after being arrested and accused of stoning the entourage of President Yoweri Museveni during an election campaign in northern Uganda in August 2018.
