Former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka left the country Friday for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The Wiper leader is expected to attend the funeral of former Prime Minister Etienne Tshisekedi. The deceased is also the father of the incumbent president, President Felix Tshisekedi.

Kalonzo revealed that Uhuru had sent him to Congo to represent the country. Tshisekedi died in February 2017. His body was kept in Belgium until his son, Felix Tshisekedi, became president of the DR Congo.

On Thursday, supporters came to the streets with posters from a leader whom they described as a common man. Leaders from different parts of the world are expected at the burial.
