Lusaka, July 19 (BNA): The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) participated in the 20th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), in the Zambian capital Lusaka.
GCC General Secretary for Political Affairs and Negotiations, Abdulaziz Hamad Al-Owaisheq, stressed at the summit that strengthening GCC-Africa relations is among the GCC's priorities, reported 39 Saudi News Agency. 19659002] The GCC Ministerial Council approved a plan to settle in several African countries, with a plan based on political consultations, economic cooperation and cultural communication, he said.
GCC and COMESA are developing their cooperation in the economic field. He added that their cooperation was aimed at opening up African markets to Gulf exports and increasing investment areas. Al-Owaisheq stressed that the Gulf's action plan aims to strengthen economic development to ensure stability and security in Africa.
