The Kyadondo-East MP Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine, took advantage of the Buganda Enkuuka party on Monday at the Buganda Lubiri Palace to call on the youth to stand up against the bad leaders.
Mr. Wine, dressed in a red jumpsuit, black high boots and his red beret, went to the stage around 5:30 pm under the deafening cheers of the crowd.
He launched his performance with Nyimbira Kabaka Wange before moving on to his other songs, but he changed the verses to criticize the government.
Some of these songs include Situuka, Mazzi Mawanvu, Freedom, Kyarenga and Engule.
As he did FreedomMr. Wine changed his words by saying, "We fear these men, but if we unite we can remove him from all power."
The appearance of the politician and the singer at the Lubiri party organized by the radio station belonging to the Buganda Kingdom, Central Broadcasting Service, took place after lively discussions between the organizers and the security agencies, who had prevented them from organizing programs that they would consider political.
The organizers had banned the wearing of red clothes, the dress code badociated with supporters of the opposition.
While performing a popular song, Kyarenga Bobi Wine said, "Sometimes they use guns and then govern us like cows … even if you bring tear gas trucks, you can not stop me from singing . "
"If you're asleep, wake up … we are the young trees and we should fight to conquer this country," said Mr. Wine, encouraged by his fans.
"If we are organized, we can expel this man …", he sang, emitting a frenzy among the crowd.
In another song, he sang that after the end of the war in Uganda, "we will wear the crown".
Before playing his upcoming song Engule, mThe wine first asked those who believe that the country will flourish without shedding blood to raise their hand, to their delight. He then told them to be optimistic.
