Elections, referendum still possible in Great Britain: Lithuania

The European Union should not exclude several scenarios after the signing of an agreement to withdraw Britain by British leaders, said Sunday the Lithuanian President, underlining the possibility of new British elections or a second referendum on Brexit.

"Anything can happen, at least four scenarios are possible, but it is up to the British side to decide the way forward," Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite told the press at the summit.

"It could be a second vote of the people, it could be new elections, it could be a request for renegotiation, there are at least four scenarios, I calculate," she said, although she has not publicly stated the result of Britain leaves without agreement.
