Modi also praised India's ties with Uganda and other African nations, saying that the resource-rich continent is now at the center of his government's foreign policy.

The Prime Minister also said that India was going to open 18 new embbadies, bringing to 47 the total number of country missions in Africa.

Noting that trade between India and Africa has experienced a 32% increase, Mr. Modi said that Asia and Africa are better positioned in the new world order.

Modi reiterated India's commitment to provide $ 10 billion to Africa.
