Earlier this month, police arrested a Nigerian national at the JKIA on suspicion of drug trafficking.

The woman identified as 25-year-old Princess Okoye was intercepted while she was preparing to take a flight to Italy.

According to the police, the woman had concealed the drug in plastic bottles containing milk.

She carried 77 pellets of suspected narcotics and then issued 15 pellets.

Last month, another batch of heroin worth 1.5 million shillings was confiscated by detectives at the same airport.

The consignment, which tested positive for heroin, came from Juba, South Sudan, and was destined for the Republic of Guinea.
