Vice President William Ruto asked the Kalenjin community not to worry about the 2022 estate, baduring them that "it's well planned."

The DP said the political jubilee game plan was intact and that there was no reason to worry.

The DP said: "Hi at once, there are hapo mbele tumepanga sawasawa … sasa msikuwe na wasiwasi." [All our future plans are on course. Don’t worry.]

He called on leaders to avoid political divisions. Ruto also took the opportunity to thank the former Bomet governor, Isaac Rutto, for agreeing to work with the Jubilee.

He said, "We have had talks with this man, Isaac Rutto, and you know he's my agemate … he agreed to work with us to build the unity of our people."

The DP is pleased that he said he is a cordial working relationship between the leaders of Bomet County.

While he appeared to be attacking the three Kalenjin deputies following their recent remarks on maize prices, the DP called on residents to avoid them as they were enemies of development and defending their personal interests.

Without naming the names, Ruto said, "As we plan development and ask Kenyans to diversify their crops, some are trying to deceive them again."

Ruto spoke when he chaired a fundraiser for the Siongiroi Catholic Church at the Holy Family Girls' School in Chepalungu, Bomet.

On development, the DP said 15 billion shillings had been set aside for the construction of 300 km of new roads at Bomet, which will be completed in the coming year.

The other deputies were Ronald Tonui (Bomet Central), Aisha Jumwa (Kilifi), Kimani Ichungwa (Kikuyu), Mwangi Gichui (Tetu), Beatrice Kones (Bomet East), Brighton Yegon (Konoin) and Joyce Korir.

Laboso called on MPs to adopt the third gender rule once it will be tabled again this week for the vote.

Rutto said he would hold hands to independent Kalenjin deputies in order to "make them speak a common language".

The former governor also said that he was supporting the union talks in the country. He said that it was necessary that all leaders speak with one voice so that development can be achieved.
