Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir will visit Qatar, the Gulf state media reported on Monday, their first trip abroad since protests began against his regime.
Bashir would arrive in Doha on Tuesday and meet the next day with the country's leader, Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, according to the Qatar News Agency "Qatar News Agency".
"The fraternal relations between the two countries will be discussed", at the meeting of the two leaders, as well as issues of mutual interest, said the QNA.
No other details have been given.
Anti-government protests against Bahir's iron hand regime began on 19 December after the government's decision to triple the price of bread.
