"To apologize to America," says Trump to Democratic Women in Congress: The Standard

US President Donald Trump stepped up Sunday's attacks on four congressional women Democrats who criticized his policy, urging them to apologize while he himself was accused of racism.

"I do not think the four women in Congress are able to love our country. They should apologize to America (and Israel) for the horrible (hateful) remarks, "Trump said in a message posted on Twitter.

US Representative Elijah Cummings, Democratic Chair of the House's Monitoring Committee, denounced Trump's latest attack and said he had "no doubt" that Trump was a racist.
"These are people and women who love their country and work very hard, they want to bring us to the most perfect union evoked by our founding fathers," said Cummings, an African-American, in "This Week".

The Democrat-led House of Representatives pbaded a resolution on Tuesday "strongly condemning President Donald Trump's racist remarks." This symbolic measure was intended to shame Trump and the Republicans who supported him.

Trump opened the door for criticism Wednesday night at a rally in North Carolina, pausing when the crowd sang the chant of "Send It Back."
After some Republican compatriots denounced the language, Trump said the next day that he did not agree with the songs. On Friday, however, he defended the North Carolina crowd as "incredible patriots".
After Wednesday's rally, Omar accused Trump of "spewing fascist ideology". Ocasio-Cortez said he intentionally took office.

She retweeted Trump Sunday with a list of things "we are fighting to secure" including health care, student loan cancellation, minimum wage and basic human rights. Trump has repeatedly tried to qualify the Democrats as supportive policies he and Republicans in Congress described as "socialist" and out of step with much of the country. At the same time, he relied on rhetoric that provoked racial divisions as he prepared for a tough battle for re-election in November 2020.
US Senator Cory Booker, who is seeking to be a Democratic presidential candidate, said Sunday that Trump was "worse than a racist."
"He actually uses racist tropes and racial language for political purposes," said Booker in CNN's "State of the Union."
Stephen Miller, Trump's most important immigration advisor, replied that the president had made it clear that he did not agree with the "Send it back" slogans.
"The fundamental problem is that all members of this audience and millions of patriotic Americans all over the country are tired of being smitten, condemned, scorned, criticized by members of the left-wing Congress in Washington, DC. and their allies in many media, "he told Fox News Sunday.
