Tourists in Mallorca were evacuated by the rescuers of a popular beach while a huge fire spread over part of the forest, just a few meters away.

The fire has taken over a wooded area of ​​250 m² located behind the beach of Es Trenc, near Campos, on the south coast of the island.
Emergency services were called to the forest fire around 11:30 yesterday and two helicopters, 17 firefighters and a plane worked against the flames.
Helicopters could be seen dropping water on the fire.

Police were also called to the scene, just 200 meters from the beach.
About 100 people were taken to a parking lot and an access road was closed while the fire was under control.
According to the Ibanat Conservation Authority, a section of pine trees has been burned, reports Mallorca magazine.
Thousands of holidaymakers flock to the unspoilt beach in August.
The fire was under control yesterday afternoon and the cause is still unknown.
