A mob killed three Ugandan People's Defense Force (UPDF) soldiers attached to a customs base with DR Congo, authorities confirmed.
Police said the soldiers
Police in Arua identified the dead soldiers, who were reportedly intercepted by a mob after The West Nile police spokesperson, Ms Josephine Angucia, said it was not clear what the soldiers were doing 8km away from their base.
She said their bodies were taken to Arua Regional Referral Hospital awaiting a post mortem
Three guns with 90 rounds of ammunition were recovered from the scene of the attack on Sunday morning
Meanwhile, eight people were arrested and detained at the Arua Resident District Commissioner Peter Debele.
