COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Governor Mike DeWine released the state’s weekly list of the top 20 Ohio counties ranked by the highest occurrence rate of COVID-19 cases, and three Northeastern Ohio counties were on the list, including one near the top.

The top 20 counties are:

  7. Auglaize
  8. Wyandot
  9. Miami
  10. Preble
  11. Tuscarawas
  12. Muskingum
  13. noble
  14. Marion

  18. Seneca
  19. Challenge
  20. Ashtabula

In the past two weeks, Lake County has recorded 1,032 cases per 100,000, the third highest occurrence in the state. The county was placed on the Public Health Advisory System’s Level 4 purple watch list on Thursday, along with Lorain County.

DeWine said Lake, Putnam, Mercer and Allen counties, which all record 1,000 or more cases per 100,000, reflect that about one in 100 people in the four counties are infected with the virus and could actively spread it in their communities. .

All 88 counties in Ohio remain at high incidence of COVID-19, DeWine said.
