The Tampa Bay Buccaneers The tight end will not play in Sunday’s battle against the Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay coach Bruce Arians told reporters on Friday.

The good news for Tampa: Edge rusher Jason Pierre-Paul (shoulder) and wedge Jamel Dean (knee) will play every other Sunday, according to the Arians.

Gronkowski was injured in the Bucs’ loss to the Rams at SoFi Stadium and managed to return to action later in the game. It was only after the Bucs and Gronkowski realized the significance of his injury, which will put him on the sidelines for at least two games including Sunday’s meeting with the Dolphins.

The Buccaneers will look again to Cameron Brate and JO Howard to help replace Gronkowski. The two saw seven targets combined, with Brate catching two of his six targets for 29 yards. Howard didn’t carry his only target, but the weather conditions weren’t exactly right for an air show on Sunday night in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
