How is the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War patch broken?

Treyarch announced that players will get a new double experience and double weapon experience bonuses in Zombie Mode through November 30. This news was more important than it looks, as it is very difficult for players to upgrade their weapons in the game. Naturally, many players have jumped right into the game to check this out. This allowed a lot of players to switch to zombie mode just to upgrade their weapons.

The players were able to do just that pretty quickly thanks to this event; however, the disappearance of the joy of the players was not far off. Treyarch released a new patch the next day that changed the game’s progress. They have stated that an issue that allowed players to gain more experience than expected in Zombie Mode has been resolved. Unsurprisingly, this led to a turn of events in the Call of Duty community.

How Treyarch reacted to this situation

At first this didn’t seem like too much of a problem, but later many players found out that they were earning even less Weapon EXP than before. This created a huge stir in the player base. Many thought it was a bug at first glance; However, Treyarch defended himself soon after and explained that it wasn’t a bug but rather the game’s current meta.

It hasn’t gone well with the players, many of whom are desperately trying to get the studio’s attention and turn it back.
