Looking back on another week of Cupertino news and headlines, this week's Apple Loop includes design and specification leaks for the new iPhone Pro, its tough future, an important NFC update developers, thoughts on the upcoming MacBook Pro and the next MacBook Pro. Is Apple ready to launch the iPhone Pro?
The iPad has the iPad Pro. The MacBook has the MacBook Pro. The iPhone has … exactly. For many years, the idea of an iPhone "Pro" is emerging. Will 2019 be the year of the proliferation of the portfolio towards a more advanced iPhone, with more features and the price will undoubtedly be more advantageous? & Nbsp;Gordon Kelly of Forbes reports:
In addition to the updates planned for the iPhone XS, the iPhone XS Max and the iPhone XR, Mac Otakara announced that Apple was preparing additional models of 6.1 inches and 6, 5 inches with OLED displays, a thinner chassis, similar triple-tier cameras but with larger sensors, reverse wireless charging, and a bundled solution. Lightning fast chargers to USB-C 18W.
Mac Otakara had previously indicated that the new XS, XS Max and XR updates will come with slow chargers and an identical chassis, while the XR will keep its LCD screen cheaper. All this indicates the introduction of a new flagship level for the iPhone over the XS – potentially the long awaited "iPhone Pro" range.

The difficult path of the iPhone for the future
Let's not forget that the 2019 iPhones – no matter how many in the wallet – have a tough job to accomplish. Matt Cabral of Credit Suisse has defined the challenge. & Nbsp;Yun Li looks at the note issued to investors:
He expects iPhone sales to drop 12.4% in 2019 after falling 3.2% in 2018. "The iPhone is in a difficult situation with lower units. by more than 20% at its maximum, as users keep their devices longer than ever (4 years per country) and price increases are likely to have run their course.
"Beyond macroeconomic conditions, we are seeing deeper structural challenges in China and we are not anticipating a significant recovery without a major iPhone refresh, which is unlikely until 5G in the last exercise, "said Cabral, director of equity research investment bank.
iPhone will update NFC access
Apple seems set to open NFC options to third-party developers. The leak comes from the UK government and Interior Minister, Sajid Javid, who talks about the release of the "EU Exit: ID Document Check" app. This was only available for Android last year because the iPhone could not read the NFC chip of a passport. It changes, as I reported earlier this week:
When the app was first launched, this feature was available on Android, but the restrictions on Apple's developers meant that third-party developers could not use the iPhone's NFC to same task. This meant that the application was only launched for Android.
For Javid to make the above statement, Apple must have changed the NFC access policy. This feature is unlikely to be unique for the UK government. Developers can thus prepare to deploy NFC features from Android apps on the iPhone under iOS.
More details on the new MacBook Pro
After learning earlier in the week that Apple was delaying new MacBook machines, other reports indicated that, even though MacBook machines with new screen technology were slipping to the end of the day, the new MacBook machines were slipping. in 2021, an update of the range could be put in place in 2019 to solve the numerous material problems. & Nbsp;Chaim Gartenberg reports:
Kuo's original date for 2019 seemed well advanced because Apple's MacBook Pro model is barely three years old. Typically, Apple has spent time designing a creative void. Arun Venkatesan examines the choices that have been made.
If the manufacturing process presented in the speech is similar to the one that will be used for the final product, the Apple card will also be created in a completely new way for credit cards. The most commonly available "metal" credit cards are stamped or thin metal parts laminated between two pieces of plastic on which the EMV chip, numbers and markings are affixed.
Apple's video shows a blank card cut from a single sheet of titanium. Then, a CNC sawmill cuts a space for the subsequent insertion of the EMV chip.
