The Vienna Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on a proposed zoning change for a three-lot parcel located at 121 Courthouse Road, SW on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. at Vienna Town Hall, 127 Center Street South, Vienna. The public can attend in person or via Zoom.

The developer is requesting the zoning change to accommodate six cottage-style duplexes for two families facing a common green space and a shared clubhouse. The architectural style of two-family dwellings is similar to the architecture often seen with country houses
developments, which includes a relatively short building height, a compact footprint and a maximum height of one and a half storeys. The proposed three-bedroom, 1,800-square-foot units in this development will also include two-car garages in the basement which can be accommodated.
accessible from a vehicular service aisle located around the perimeter of the site. Additional visitor parking spaces are provided along the service aisle.

The property is currently zoned for single family homes. The proposed zoning change to accommodate low density duplexes is in line with Vienna’s comprehensive plan.

A conceptual plan and elevations are available online: vienna-va.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx. To access the plan and instructions for attending the public hearing virtually, click on the link to the August 25 Planning Committee meeting agenda.
