The purpose of this symposium is to promote the use of porcelain in the creation of contemporary art objects. The symposium encourages the use of intellectual and technological innovations, not to mention the traditions of porcelain. The project uses three 3D ceramic printers that offer new opportunities for the implementation of artistic projects.
The foreign and Lithuanian artists participating in the project represent contemporary ceramic art in the world, working in an interdisciplinary artistic field. During the Symposium, participants will become acquainted with the local environment, the cultural context and will create porcelain works specially adapted to the planned exhibition spaces.
This stage of the project is based on research, understanding of process and discussion. . The creation of porcelain art works will be presented at the exhibition "Porcelain identity" in Kaunas, Vilnius and Panevezys and will complete the national project M.K. Collection of Čiurlionis Museum.
The exhibition "Porcelain identity" will be open on July 13th. 5 pm
