China claims to respect "one country, two systems" in its relations with Hong Kong

On Monday, after talks with British Foreign Minister Jeremy Hunt, the Chinese diplomat told reporters that his country would continue to follow the system established during the transfer from Hong Kong to China in 1997.

Beijing promised 50 years wide autonomy and civil rights. But the growing concern is that Chinese Communist leaders are withdrawing from this promise and becoming more and more opposed to the political opposition.

At the beginning of the meeting, British Foreign Secretary J.Hunth caused a wave of laughter. China and Japan are the main rivals of the region.
