GREEN BAY (WLUK) – A few hours after Randall Cobb accepted a contract with the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday, Clay Matthews has agreed to a contract with the Los Angeles Rams.

Matthews reportedly signed a two-year contract worth $ 16.75 million.

Last season, Matthews, a six-time Pro Bowler, has played all 16 regular-season games for the first time since 2015, but has only lost 3.5 sacks in his career.

Matthews had been a cornerstone of the Packers' defense, recording 83 bags of the best franchise of his season in 10 seasons. Matthews was the 26th pick in the NFL draft in 2009 after former general manager Ted Thompson was selected for the first round.

Matthews has recorded four double-digit bag seasons with a career record of 13.5 in his second season, 2010.
