CONWAY, NC – Michael “Kevin” Burgess, 55, from Conway, NC, died on Saturday October 2, 2021 at his home.
He was born in Hertford County in 1966 and was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Currie and Lucy Burgess, and his maternal grandparents, Leroy and Willia Vaughan.
“Kevin” is survived by his parents, Linwood and Ann Vaughan Burgess; her brother, Currie Lynn Burgess of Henrico, North Carolina; her sister, Nancy B. Harrell of Edenton, North Carolina; his nephews, Bradford Lee Harrell of Edenton, North Carolina and Samuel Burgess of Henrico, North Carolina; his great-nephews, Brayden Harrell and Eli Harrell, both of Edenton, North Carolina; and her special friend, Jennifer Benton.
The family would like to thank all of the hospice nurses who took care of Kevin over the past few months.
The funeral will be at the Creeksville Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Wednesday October 6, 2021 with Pastor Andy Sloan and Matt Ledbetter officiating.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
