Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, in “America’s Newsroom,” slammed the White House for reporting Facebook posts, saying it “looks like a violation of the First Amendment.”

MIKE LEE: The government can’t censor speech. The First Amendment says it very clearly. It’s a private, for-profit corporation that can make its own decisions, but when it does it with the complicity of the government, it sounds a lot like a First Amendment violation to me.

Anyway, what we have seen are social media platforms and search engines on occasion, over and over again lately, promising to be impartial in presenting themselves to their users. and to the public asput back when they are anything but that. The American people are not going to put up with this any longer. That’s why I introduced something called the Promise Act which requires them to deliver the service they actually promise.
