NASA asks students to help name the next Mars rover

The next NASA Rover is expected to land on Mars in February 2021, but it still lacks one essential element: a name. In order to generate interest in the mission and to encourage students to join the STEM topics that make space exploration possible, NASA is sponsoring a contest titled Name the Mobile. Open to K-12 students in public, private and private schools in the United States, this is a writing competition in which students will be asked to name the traveler. in the space and explain the reasons for the naming they have chosen.

If you, a student in your home or class (if you are a teacher) want to try, it's very simple. Just go to the Mobile Challenge page and click on the "Register Students and Teachers" button. Nominations will be judged on the significance and originality of the chosen name and essay.

The rules of the contest include:

• The name chosen must not exceed 50 characters and the essay must not exceed 150 words.
• One entry per student.
• This name can not be the repetition of a NASA space mission or flight program.
• If you want to use the name of a real person, that person must be dead.
• No company name or trademark, and of course, the dissertation must be completely original,

The deadline to register is November 1st and the last registrations will be posted on the site for a public survey in January 2020.
