NASA's free interactive e-book is full of spectacular aerial photos of the Earth.

To celebrate the glorious beauty of our planet of origin, NASA has released a new photo book. Properly titled Earthit contains hundreds of beautiful aerial images of the blue planet. You can download a version for any eBook reader. There is also an interactive online version, which is completely free.

"Despite the dynamism and detail we can observe in orbit, it is sometimes useful to go back and simply admire the Earth," writes NASA. "It's a beautiful and impressive place, and it's the only world most of us will ever know."

All the photos in the book have been captured over the years by various NASA satellites, writes Digital Trends. Depending on the e-book reader you own, you can download different electronic versions of the book:

  • Kindle Drives: MOBI
  • All other e-book readers: EPUB
  • PDF readers: PDF

I have downloaded a PDF file to browse it on my rotten but darling tablet. There is also an interactive online version divided into four sections: Atmosphere, Water, Earth, Ice and Snow. Like e-book versions, it's also free and accessible to everyone, everywhere.

In case you prefer to sniff out freshly printed pages and listen to the sound of the pages being filmed, there is also a tangible hard cover version of Earth. But unlike its electronic counterparts, this one is not free. The price in the United States is $ 53 and the international price is $ 74.20. I would say it is worth it, but if you prefer ebooks (and free books), download one of the previous ones and enjoy!
