Boise leaders and residents expressed their solidarity with the refugee population of the city after one assailant stabbed nine people, including six children, during the day. 39th birthday party Saturday in the capital of Idaho. Bones said the suspect, identified Timmy Earl Kinner of Los Angeles, had been arrested in minutes, not far from the scene. Kinner, 30, was incarcerated in the Ada County Jail for nine counts of assault and six counts of wounding a child.

Bones said that Kinner had met and stayed with a resident of the apartments for a few days during the last week. The resident and some neighbors worried about the suspect's behavior and asked him to leave on Friday, which he did peacefully.

The suspect then returned to the apartments on Saturday and began attacking children, including the three-year-old girl who was at the center of the party. He said that Kinner did not seem to have any relationship with the party-goers, calling the attack a mere act of "revenge".
