Body of a Nauru asylum seeker sent to Brisbane

The body of an Iranian asylum seeker, who committed suicide in Nauru more than a month ago, was flown to Brisbane

The Guardian reports that the remains of Fariborz Karami were transported as a result of an emotional clash between his mother and the Australian Border Force (ABF) about from the funeral of Mr. Karami. [19659006] ABF first told Mr. Karami's mother, Fazileh Mansour Beigi, that she could either agree to bury her in Nauru, or send her body back to Iran.

Ms. Mansour Beigi refused, claiming that her grave could not be visited.

Donations from anonymous philanthropists in Australia have covered the cost of theft and funeral, according to the Guardian.

Members of the extended family in Australia assumed responsibility for Mr. Karami's funeral.

The funeral home had agreed to detain Karami's body for a limited time in case his mother could finally attend

Nauru staff told the Guardian at least 19 refugees and asylum seekers. He was moved from the island to Australia in the last fortnight.

Many of these were transported following court orders to protect critically ill children. Others, including entire families, were moved to the direction of ABF

Hello again ABF,

Do you know me? I am the same suffering and miserable mother who has begged you repeatedly to help. Frequently, I implored you to help me. A sick mother who could no longer stand to see her children in this situation. Often, I told you and I wrote to you that my sons are depressed and exhausted "help please a sick and weak mother". But, instead of supporting you, you answered that if I could not tolerate it, I would have to go back to my country.

Again I complained and I wrote that after five years of torture, I am not able to return to my country. I asked you to update our tent, as this could change the mood of my children. You still ignored me.

For five years you jailed me and my innocent children in Nauru and we ignored them. I know that your violence and cruelty are deeply rooted and that I am a helpless woman. You even have me private to have a cell phone, lest I speak? But I've always told you that if something bad happens to my children, I will not keep quiet.

Since Friday, did you keep my son's corpse in the IHMS refrigerator to look for his murderer? Since then, have not you felt your own hands? My 26 year old son had his last breaths in your moldy tents and closed his beautiful eyes to your abomination, your injustice and your disgusting policies. You even hesitate to provide him with a bottle of cold water.

For five years, you tortured his athletic body in a deadly heat. Now, you confiscated his corpse and kept it in a cold place. You do not allow me to bury him and entrust him to eternal peace with his beautiful face and body.

I doubt that you are human! Where in the world would they long keep a young corpse in the fridge, inside a related [container] near a place where his mother lives? Are you even afraid of our corpses? Do you hate us so much that you are afraid of us, alive or dead? We still miss you

I support myself until I bury my son's body with respect, otherwise not everyone has any sense for me and do not even deserve to breathe. If you do not want to have another corpse next to my son, give me written permission to bury it anywhere except Nauru and Iran.
