Protesters at the Lauren Southern event clash with police in Melbourne

More than 100 protesters blocked the Hume Highway outside the Center of Somerton Mirage reception and convention prior to Ms. Southern's Friday night event.

At one point, the group rushed inside, Southern's speech was interrupted by protesters carrying banners and chanting "the racism of our streets", according to the Alliance of Launcher Group, activists and citizens
