Nura's sound tuning headsets are pre-ordered and will be available in September – TechCrunch

I have a hard time finding a technology that fascinates me more at CES than the Nuraloop. I had a pretty positive comment on Nura's original product, but I never really listened to the headphones. The company's latest company recovers a lot of the useless elements of these original Nuraphones, in a much more portable packaging.

All that Nura had at CES was a dummy prototype of the product, but it was enough to excite me. Four months later, headphones can be ordered in advance, with delivery scheduled for September. At this point, the company seems to be gauging its interest in the product, offering 30% off its final sale price of $ 199.

The strategy makes sense for a company that still seems to have limited reach in retail. The Nuraphones were a real success for Kickstarter, raising $ 1.8 million. It is a way to measure this kind of interest without having to go back to crowdfunding.

If all the demands of society hold, they are pretty beautiful. The headphones retain the same type of custom sound profiling that has made their predecessors exceptional, while removing pleasing yet unnecessary elements, such as bass relief on the ear. The company also promised 14 hours of extremely impressive reading, which is even more than what OnePlus announced today.

We should use the production units before the shipping date. We will be happy to report on this. At $ 140/199, their price is similar to that of the AirPods. Obviously, they are destined to become much more a niche device than the offer of Apple, but they could be a place of choice for users looking for portability without sacrificing sound quality.
