Illicit drugs such as cocaine and heroin have recently been discovered, containing opioid amounts of fentanyl, which could be responsible for overdose deaths, officials said Tuesday in a press release.

According to data from the Montgomery County Coroner's Office, there have been 19 presumed deaths due to an overdose in Montgomery County since the month of August. The total number of suspected overdose deaths in 2019 is 174.
