Oninaki launches August 22 in North America and Europe

Oninaki will launch Digitally for PlayStation 4, Switch and PC via Steam in North America and Europe on August 22, day and date with its release in Japanese, Square Enix announced during its press conference on the E3 2019.

Oninaki This is the third title of Tokyo RPG Factory and the first incursion of the studio in the action RPG genre. It allows the studio to draw on classic Japanese RPGs to create a captivating experience on modern platforms. After the release of I am Setsuna in 2016 and Sphear lost in 2018, Oninaki encompasses an inspired art direction, a deep character development, and a captivating storyline that contributes to a unique but familiar JRPG experience.

In Oninaki, players will follow the story of Kagachi, a young observer charged with introducing Lost Souls into the world to come. After meeting a mysterious girl named Linne, her destiny is linked to blood and death. During the trip, players will also meet key characters such as Kushi, exemplary observer and trusted leader, Mayura, heartfelt observer, and the nasty Night Devil of a forgotten era.
