House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appeared on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Cannot bring the bipartite infrastructure bill upstairs on the House Monday as she had pledged before, she said on Sunday.

“I never introduce a bill that doesn’t have the votes,” Pelosi told ABC “This Week” presenter George Stephanopoulos.

“You can’t choose the date,” Pelosi said. “You have to leave when you have the votes within a reasonable time, and we will.”

Pelosi had previously agreed to bring the bipartisan infrastructure bill for review by September 27, after moderates in his caucus called for a vote.

“It might be tomorrow,” Pelosi added on Sunday.

Saturday, the House Budget Committee approved a $ 3.5 trillion budget resolution which calls for investments in climate change policy, child care and other social programs.

Pelosi told colleagues on Saturday in a letter that they “must” pass the bill this week along with a separate bipartisan infrastructure bill.

“The next few days will be a period of intensity,” she wrote.

Pelosi also said on Sunday’s “This Week” show that the price of the bill could drop during negotiations.

“It seems to go without saying,” Pelosi said, acknowledging that $ 3.5 trillion in revenue could be lowered.
