Prince George County is asking residents and workers eligible for the phase 1c coronavirus vaccination group to pre-register.
As Maryland prepares to move to the next phase of its coronavirus vaccine deployment, Prince George County is asking eligible residents and workers to pre-register.
“At this time, we are asking all county residents and those working in the county who are in 1C to complete a pre-registration form,” County Director Angela Alsobrooks said in a statement.
Those in phase 1c include people aged 65 to 74; health and social service workers and public safety workers not covered in phase 1a; and essential workers at high risk of exposure, such as those working in food and agriculture, grocery stores, transit and the postal service.
Those who have pre-checked in will receive appointments as soon as they become available, which the county may take several weeks or more. Alsobrooks said on Twitter residents must provide proof of residency or proof of employment in the county upon appointment.
The county health department is still working on vaccinating people in phases 1a and 1b.
Governor Larry Hogan announced last week that the state could begin Phase 1c of the coronavirus vaccine rollout on Monday.
