Rachel Lindsay has reportedly disabled her Instagram account due to the online harassment she received after her interview with longtime “Bachelor” host Chris Harrison.
The claim comes from Lindsay’s “Higher Learning” podcast co-host Van Lathan, who shared an Instagram video on the topic on Friday.
“My ‘Higher Learning’ co-host Rachel Lindsay turned off her Instagram account earlier today,” said Lathan, 40. “She did it because it’s the hate she feels from Bachelor fans that spouts her with all kinds of rude and hateful things to say.”

Lathan continued to urge “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” fans who send hate messages to have a life.

Earlier this month, Lindsay – the former Season 13 “Bachelorette” star who was the show’s first black woman – interviewed Harrison for Extra. The couple discussed the current season of “The Bachelor,” which stars Matt James, the show’s first main black man.
Eventually, Lindsay, 35, and Harrison, 49, had a disagreement over the public’s perception of the potential love interest of James, Rachael Kirkconnell, who had been sidelined for race-insensitive activities that ‘she had carried out in the past.

Harrison was immediately criticized for apparently standing up for Kirkconnell and perpetuating racism, critics said.
He then apologized twice via Instagram, and announced that he was “temporarily stepping down for a while”.
Former NFL player Emmanuel Acho, 30, will host “The Bachelor: After the Final Rose” in place of Harrison, according to a tweet released on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Lindsay has announced that she will be leaving the franchise shortly after the controversial interview.
“I can’t take it anymore,” Lindsay told Lathan on their Feb. 12 podcast episode. “I’m contractually bound in some ways. But when it’s over, so am I. I can’t do it anymore.”
In an unexpected twist, it appears Kirkconnell is one of the few “Bachelor” stars to give up the hatred Lindsay received from fans.

“Rachel Lindsay and other BIPOCs have called for accountability for me and others. It is necessary, and she does not deserve the hate she receives,” Kirkconnell wrote in a statement shared on Instagram on Saturday. “Recognize that she and everyone you send hateful messages to are human beings.
