Recruitment: Compliments of Veterans Day-Lima News

Veterans Day is November 11, and Lima News wants to hear from readers about special publications. We are looking for stories of people who actively serve, not just those who have served in the past. We also enjoy sharing ideas about what serving loved ones means to them.

What do you think of the evolution of military service? Were you in a particular career path that was interrupted? Did you make the military your career after learning it? Did your department then open a position for you? Where have you served and seen these other countries and places? Would you like to return to the place you served? Where were some of your military friends from and were their backgrounds very different from yours? If you have been changed by your department, was the change positive or negative?

What to send:

• Your name, including when and where you served in the military

• Photos taken during work and current photos. When sending by email, please attach a high resolution .jpg instead of pasting the image in the body of the email. If you would like to send your photo by post, please send us a reprint of the photo instead of the original photo. Photos will not be returned.

• Your current age

• Your address and telephone number (private)

• Your story. The story must be at least 500 words long, but longer stories are welcome.
